Mountain Boarding.....

Mountain Boarding is a relatively new sport for Morzine however it is growing very quickly. There is a new Mountain Board centre in town run by 'Guillaume Rosset' from 'Felix Ski'. The centre is equipped with its own drag lift to take you to the top of the purpose built slope which caters for all levels of rider.

First time riders must have at least a 1 hour lesson which can be give in French or English. After this you are free to hire the necessary equipement and ride at will. The slope is always supervised and has a slalom course as well as a variety of jumps and a rail for those advanced riders. It is also possible to arrange for a guide to take you free riding around Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz.

Also between 20th & 22nd August 2004, Morzine will once again be holding the MountainBoard World Championships. Which includes a Dual Slalom race, Downhill Free Ride race and a Big Air Comp.
